 Loveball, the European Gay and Lesbian Festival finally announced its dates for 2008.

Last year’s event was a huge success with visitors from right around the world descending on Barcelona for 7 days of pool parties, clubbing and cultural events.

This year the event will take place on the first week of August 2008.

 It looks set to be an interesting August with the Circut Party taking place at a similar time as the LoveBall Party.

A concept of one of Barcelona’s biggest event organisers, Matinee Group, the festival expects to draw up to 30,000 additional visitors to Barcelon from the 4th to the 10th of August. A range of cultual events, pool parties and club nights are planned. We will bring you more information as we get it.

Berlin Dark, one of Barcelona’s raunchiest gay clubs has announced its schedule for March.

The bear community and their admirers are very well catered for in Barcelona. The scene can be as friendly or as sleazy as you like, with plenty of options for those who just want to admire or those who love the raunchier side of things! MARKET is a new sessions for bears and takes place in the notorious Cinema Arenas.

Open Fridays, Saturdays and eve of public holidays 23:00 to 03:30, with Taylor as DJ Rude  Resident on Saturday and serves as a great alternative before hitting the clubs at 3am. After just one month in operation, the event has become very popular.

Complete with a large bar, darkrom and cinema, the maze of steps and entrances is very cruisy. Note, this a night for Bears and their admiers, so it attracts a wide range of clientele. Arenas Cinema is open daily from 10.30 am to 22 pm and is more popular with older gay guys.

Matinee Group has recently announced several changes to their line up of gay parties and events.

With the closure of Salavation (one of Barcelona’s most popular Gay Clubs) at the end of January, it was only a matter of time before we saw something fresh and new hit the Barcelona Scene.

The teaser to the new concept was unveiled recently. The concept is still under wraps, but is to be called D-Boy. Stay tuned for updates.
